How to reconnect effectively with past colleagues

Have you ever felt weird about reconnecting with past colleagues or potential clients?

Maybe it feels like it’s been a bit too long since you last spoke. Or you're not sure if they'll remember you. Or perhaps you just don't want to bother them

But I'm here to tell you that it's ALWAYS WORTH RECONNECTING, and here's why:

A few years ago I reconnected with someone I knew from the investment bank where I used to work. We chatted about potential VA support but he decided to go with an in-house PA instead.

We stayed in touch every so often because I KNEW there was potential work there (and I also knew he was a great contact to have!)

And lo and behold, a year or so later I had an email asking if was available to cover for a week while their PA was on hols. And he didn't bat an eyelid when I shared my £300 day rate.

Since then I've been their go-to VA when they need cover, all because I spent the time to reconnect.

So the lesson here is that it's ALWAYS worth reconnecting with past colleagues and potential client leads, no matter how long ago you last spoke.

You never know when someone you know needs a VA or knows someone that does. And your existing network, no matter when you last spoke to them,

p.s. I have heaps of strategies to stand out to your ideal client in the free lesson on Client Attraction for VAs, which you can register for here.
